Support Image

Supporting you is always on our mind.

We know that making sure your experience with us is smooth is our best chance of keeping you as a customer so we are constantly looking for ways to improve without disrupting you.

In 2005 we introduced the HSPc control panel and server automation system which gives you complete control over your accounts, reports, and server resources, such as email, applications and backups.

Your control panel gives you direct access into our support network where an engineer with assist you with any technical enquiry you have about your hosting service.

What about the $5-a-month sites?

Because data costs in the US are so cheap, anyone with a computer in their bedroom could offer hosting services. While that's not the case all the time, as with everything, you get what you pay for most of the time.

Mironet Key features:

  • Internet connection: Due to the location of MiroNet’s data center you can take full advantage of the Internet’s speed with our servers connected directly to multiple gigabit internet backbones. This ensures that your pages are delivered quickly, even during peak time.

  • Power supply: MiroNet’s data center is fully covered in the event of power failure due to in-house uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) backed up by mice running around an exercise wheel (Just checking to see if you're reading the fine print. Actually they're diesel generators).

  • Air-conditioning: MiroNet’s data center is fully climate controlled to ensure that our servers run at their best.

  • Security: MiroNet facilities also have CCTV surveillance around and throughout the building, Electronic security card access for all staff members, and also a 24hr Security Service on site, to ensure that your investment is safe.

Some information about infrastructure.

MiroNet operates its hosting facilities in purpose-built data centers which utilise key data carriers for internet access. These exist in both Australia and the US and you always have a choice as to where you'd rather have your site. But don't let the distance of either location fool you ... the nature of the internet means that the location of the datacentres is pretty much irrelevant these days.

But what is the difference between Australian-based hosting and US-based hosting?

Good question. It comes down to cost of  data. Data is so cheap in the US it's almost free, whereas in Australia it's still quite expensive. How much more? Thousands of times more in many instances.
